I have recently read an intriguing article on the Swagbucks and I was really curious about if this app can lead me towards the earnings, as it was said.
So I decided I will find out by myself as well, and so I did. Out of my experience, I wrote my own Swagbucks review over here.

For who is Swagbucks?
The app is suited for people searching for some extra cash. Especially for search engine experiment takers. I hope, this expression is not too complicated, but I will explain that just in a short moment.
Plus, it is also fit for people who like to spend time on the internet by playing games, watching videos, or taking online surveys.
How does Swagbucks work?
After joining in, you can choose from a variety of options, how you are going to earn bucks.
The options include shopping and buying your favorite mark, watching en entertainment video, filling online surveys, or internet browsing.

For shopping online, you don’t need anything special to take care of, be sure you have your account activated and buy through the app. So you can earn bucks through shopping at Amazon, eBay, Uber Eats, or HP for instance.
If you buy something you will get your cashback, plus bucks and your product obviously. The offers differ per company, so you can better check if a particular shop offers something reasonable in your location.
When you decide to watch videos, you can count to earn 1 SB( buck) for a 6 videos watched.
If you are Netflix lower, you can choose to watch videos on with this app rather and you will be earning.
To make it clear 1$ is equal to 100 SB.
On the Swagbucks website, it is mentioned that you can earn between 40 to 200 SB per filled survey, however, if you are starting out, the most you will get is 5 SB per survey. ( This will probably increase with completed surveys).
Playing games means that most of the games are MMO (Massively Multiplayer Online) character. You will have options to earn some 1000-2000 SB, which can seem like a nice number, however this is the result when you hit a certain level of the game.
What is kind of forcing you to stay and play, until you get there, right?
The most interesting part seems to be a search engine. As I mentioned earlier, it is for those who like to explore new possibilities rather than Google, Yahoo, or Bing.
This is convenient if you don’t want to spend so much extra time on the internet like you would normally. Probably every internet user needs time-to-time use any search engine, right?
If you choose to use Swagbucks instead, you’ll earn some SB.
Quality of the results is a bit lower though, but for some general search, it can be still useful.
All collected SB can be redeemed for gift cards, or cash out through PayPal.
This is the amount Swagbucks claims to pay to its users since 2006, when the company started.

Yes, Swagbucks is working with the marks they are well known worldwide. This meaning, there is a higher chance you are going to buy something needed and with good quality. So you are not really going to collect bucks with low-quality purchases. - Affiliate Program
I am a big fan of Affiliate Programs. They are sharing the brand ideas, purpose and awareness. It is also a great referring method. You are basically working as an ambassador of the brand, and on top of that you are earning commission anytime, your referral is going to make a purchase. in fact, it is the best type of passive income available.
As an affiliate with Swagbucks, you will get 10% of the earnings of your referral.
3. Earning by common activities
While there are money earning apps, which are “forcing” you do sometimes unpleasant activities, like a long surveys (yeah on Swagbucks they are as well, but n
ot as a major way of earning money)here you are going to be earning much more common activities.
Who is not watching videos, shopping, or using a search engine, right?
4. Search Engine
This is one of the biggest PROS of Swagbucks. You are going to be earning money, “just by browsing the net”. That means you’re not expected to be producing new content or spending time by playing games or watching videos, you maybe don’t like. Just simple searching attempts, will bring you SB.
Disadvantage is that I couldn’t find information about Safari.
CONS
- The Earnings
This has to be made very clear. With Swagbucks, you are not going to earn a lot. I dare to say, you won’t earn even a part-time income. The money you are going to collect is just pocket money. Unless you are ok to be spending quite some time in front of PC. - The addictive nature of the site
When you are going to surf throughout the website, you will have the feeling, you want to stay there. It has the kind of comfortable and sometimes even pleasant feeling.
Like browsing a Facebook, you know? Now, I hope I don’t have to point out, that this can be a very bad time waste. Actually, I read that more people had the same feeling, so it is not a coincidence! Again, if this site is going to make you money for living, then you won’t care if it is a bit addictive, but with those earnings, it can be risky.
- Customer Service
You might be wondering, why the Customer Service should matter by this type of app. But rust me, it hell does matter!
What about, if you earn some SB and you won’t get them? Or if they assign you less, than they should? Or the app, video, or game is not working, but you downloaded it already? They are all different types of questions, popping up along the way and if there is no one to help you, it sucks!
By the way, I didn’t experience these issues, however, I couldn’t get my verification email for more than 48 hrs and there was no answer at all. So, I had to create a brand new account to be able to try the app. Not the best way to treat their associates I’d say.Unlike this website, where you get 24/7 it can be very frustrating to not receive any help when you’re struggling. - Easily becoming shopaholic
You can easily start to purchasing a lot more than you really need. Even if your initial intention was to buy something needed like a shoe rack on amazon, knowing you get SB for every spent dollar, why not buy a new pair of shoes, right?
No doubt that this is a great marketing and profitable move for the Amazon, to co-operate with Swagbucks, unfortunately, for you the result can be, that in the end you will spend more than you’ll earn.
Is Swagbucks legit?
Yes, Swagbucks is LEGIT, because you can really earn money there.
(It is still nice, if you can choose to earn money by simple tasks like playing games, watching online videos or browsing the web.)
However, I think that the relation to the amount of time you are going to spend there and the money you can possibly earn is making it unprofitable.
Therefore I would not recommend to use it as a platform to earn money. You can however use their search engine tool and by this means earn 1-2 gift cards time-to-time.

I have not heard of Swagbucks before, but it seems like a good and legit one judging from the review, besides one can earn money from it, although it might not be as much as other site but it is a good one and i think it worth some of my time, and also it is known world wide, you can buy something of high quality unlike some site selling stuff with low quality..I think i like this app, i will do more research on it to find out more and probably recommend it to some of my friends..Thanks for this awesome information.

This is a very interesting concept. I was curious as to who actually funds the Swagbucks. I would presume this would be coming from the vendors themself. It seems to be a little like bitcoin. Do you know if there are any conflicts using this as a search engine or browser? It looks to be a general incentive to spend more money on non-discretionary items. I like the idea of starting this as an Affiliate program. Using this as a discreet niche could be an excellent entry into Affiliate marketing especially since the founder are providing sufficient training and support. This could be a fun program to be involved with.
