How to write articles for SEO?

Question, you might be asking yourself too.

No worries with my post, I am going to show you some verified techniques, which will help you as well. Then writing SEO “friendly” will be your second nature, when writing your next article or post.

What is SEO?

I am sure that if you are writing professionally, then you definitely know what SEO is, but there might be among you also someone that doesn’t know it yet.

SEOSearch Engine Optimization) is according to Wikipedia, the process of growing the quality and quantity of website traffic by increasing the visibility of a website or a web page to users of a web search engine.

To simplify it, SEO is the improvement of (unpaid) search results.

Imagine you have a website with articles, or blog posts or you work for someone who has it, and you want that other people will find your article or blog post.  To achieve that you want to write SEO “friendly”.

I hope this sounded a bit easier for newbies as well.

The problem though is, that to achieve that, you need to know quite a lot of things. At least more, like some 10-20 years ago. The reason for that is, that nowadays there is rapid growth in websites and general growth in the number of people being online active.

That means more articles, posts, websites with the same niche. That means more traffic. That means more competition. This can, unfortunately, follow to lower follow or incomes of your products9 or products of someone you work for)

Fortunately, there are some techniques, which can help you be successful anyway.

Curious which one are those? Read further.

Don’t be afraid to stay organic

The way you are going to gain traffic to your website/post/article is going to define if you are receiving people organically or not.

The main difference between organic traffic and paid traffic is how it is acquired.

As the title can help, one is “free” and the second one paid.

If you start to think about it, you might have some questions. For instance which one is better? Which one would you like to use?

Or the most important one, which one is more efficient in obtaining visitors?

There are various opinions on this topic.

To be completely honest, there are as well many factors that are going to be decisive.

For instance:

  • Competition
  • Season
  • Size of your(or your company) audience
  • Niche
  • Budget

I like to think about it, that they both are useful, even in different ways.

For you would be enough to remember that while you are starting out, the best option is free traffic. Budget wise of course, but as well because it is long term better solution as paid traffic.

Because at the starting point of your website, you are going to need to build a trust, or authority within your niche( if you work for someone, your employer has probably defined already which traffic you are going to write for)

However, on the other hand, as more authority/trust/visitors your site would have, the higher are the chances that you or your employer are going to switch to paid traffic.

Remember that:

The most successful online business use the mix of free and organic traffic. You can always stay flexible and test which form is showing the best solution over time.

Quality content is the winner

Whatever way you decide to attract visitors to your article/post/website you are not going to make it sustainable flow unless you master the quality of your content.

There are, surprisingly enough, still plenty of “marketers” who are copying and pasting content from other sources. Or another group would implement their links hoping this is the way to gain sales.

Or SCAMMERS. Whereas they start a website. With only purpose to “sell their s**it” and close it. After a year, month, or even a week.

You don’t want to go that way.

In fact, if you are serious about your( or your’s company) business, you want to be sustainable, right? Recognized, trustable with a high number of followers or sales) repeatedly and legally!!

To accomplish that, you want to take care that your content is just quality!! You might be wondering what quality content is. That’s the one you like to read. You found it valuable and you feel like if you need some help in the future, you will definitely come back again.

Think about it, as you are writing your good friend who needs help. This technique is so important, that many successful marketers are naming it as the number one rule. You might want to apply it to your projects as well.

Keyword is your KEY

In case you are sure that your content possesses QUALITY, you are about to take another step.

KEYWORD.

Many writers, especially starting one is making the mistake of over-complicating the stuff they want to share. They think about the post or article as an Academical ESSAY. From the previous lines, you know you should make it easier.

There is only one more thing worse than that.

Essay with no point!

Ideally, you want to be to the point, talking like you would to your friend and use targeted KEYWORDS.

A keyword is a word or phrase which people type in the search bar. While browsing Google, Yahoo, or Bing.

If you are going to include the right keywords, you can improve the chances that your post/article/website will be found. Makes sense, right?

What if I tell you, that you can see in advance how the particular keyword is going to perform? In other words, what if I show you how you can see how many searches are made for your keyword or how many competing websites are already having your keyword within their content?

That all, and even more is possible if you have the right KEYWORD tool.

The Best Keyword Tool

Why there is someone with a massive following, while the other one, maybe even in the same niche, with similar high-quality content and with similar captivating web design, has low numbers of followers?

One of the reasons can be, that the first guy is using the JAAXY keyword tool.

There are many keyword tools available nowadays. Unfortunately, many of them are showing irrelevant data or are overpriced.

Jaaxyis going to provide with AVG( average number of searches) and with QSR (Quoted Search Result) displaying how big your competition is. With this in your hand, you get a huge unfair advantage.

It will make your life not just a lot easier, but it will also set you up some steps ahead of your competition.

January, is even offering a FREE version.

You can check how does it look like, by typing in the search bar below.

Pretty cool,right?

To summarize the most important TIPS I covered in my article in order to answer the question How to Write Articles For SEO, please remember that I was assuming you are trying to attract visitors to your page/post/article via FREE TRAFFIC, remember:

  • You want to focus on QUALITY CONTENT
  • Don’t write “Essays”
  • Keep the tone of your message easy, like you are trying to help your best friend
  • Stay to the point, the ideal size of the (informative, not selling) blog post is 1000-1500 words
  • Use KEYWORDS accordingly( Maximum 3-5 Keywords per post/article)
  • Use the right keyword tool, JAAXY is my suggestion number one

I hope I could have helped you within my post and you feel a bit safer in the waters of SEO. There is plenty of stuff which is changing quickly, but the rules I mentioned just above are to be applied for as long as there is an internet marketing industry.

Don’t forget, that if you are going to write for SEO, it will take time before you will see results.

Explain this to your employers too -:), when he is going to be mad at you for not delivering results within the first week of your writing.

As soon, as you reach a decent audience you might think to switch to PAID traffic like PPC, AdSense, etc. But about this in another article.

In case you like this article, please do share it with whoever you think might find it useful. Of course, if there is something unclear to you, please leave your concern below and I am going to gladly help you out.
