In a nutshell, the app helps big companies collect and measure internet search data to improve their services. The tool therefore is, to see what common people do share online.

How You can earn money with Honeygain App?

There are two main ways, how to earn money with app.

1) Downloading the app and let it run in the background of your device

This is very straight forward one, where you just need to download the app and turn it on while using your device. You can download the Honeygain app on several devices to increase your incomes.

Several sources provided information on the earnings being $3/1GB.

2) Referral program
Second way on how to earn money with the app, is through their referral program. Basically when you invite someone and the person will join the program (download the app) you and the person will profit from it.

Every new person will get the $5 sign up bonus, plus your referrals will earn you 10% of their revenue.

Firstly, you need to download the app. Once that done, you’d need to fill just your email address, or Facebook if you prefer and sign in.

Previously the app was downloadable just on Android and Linux, lately you can download it on iOS as well.

One of the privacy rule here at Honeygain app is that they don’t require your name details. Just the necessary email login details.

Further on, there are no additional settings required.

When you turn on your device, open the app and go to dashboard you’ll see the overview of your earnings. Transaction history and referrals. On the left side.

On the right side, you will see the way how you earned your money or credits with Honeygain app.

Additionally, you might be wondering how your data are going to be used in order to improve the internet.

I have to say that Honeygain app claims they are transparent with how your data will be used, I think they don’t go too much in the details here.

After downloading and setting the app, you can earn money without any action you wouldn’t be doing already while browsing the web.

Referral program

Additionally, you can earn money by inviting others to use the app.

When someone accepts your invitation, and will be actively using the app, you will earn 10% from his/her revenue.

So, these two PROS are making the app interesting for you in case you are searching for passive and residual income.

What I don’t like about the app?

Issues on Apple devices

Previously, some people were mentioning troubles when trying to install the app on Apple devices.

Personally, I’ve experienced it too. In the end, I did manage to download the app. So, it could have been buck, that’s already solved, just wanted to let you know to be aware it can be still issue.

Need to be using Honeygain app daily

In order to make money with the app, you need to turn the device where the app is on, at least once a day.

Also if you are inactive for more than 6 months, your account and eventually your rewards will be removed. Additionally, to it, when you want to leverage on your earnings by using several devices, it won’t work.

Because of the previous line (unless you will be using the other device daily too)

Privacy

I know that the owners, spent quite a space on their website explaining how safe is the app.

They introduced even several protections and privacy security, like for instance Data protection officer (DPO), which is external company assuring that business collecting your data are legitimate.

Additionally, they comply with the newest privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA. So why I call it as a CON?

Because, when Honeygain app and the particular big business collect your data they’ll see what you were busy with online. Plus they have your IP address and your email.

From there, it is just small steps away to find out more private info like your name, bank you use…and we all know what can happen with that sort of information, right?

Low reward

Contrary with what is said on their website, I think the rewards you can earn are low.

In the reality you can expect some $20/year.

Of course, it is better like nothing and you won’t fins this money on the street, unless you are lucky

Still, I am question if these rewards are worth, risking the privacy issues I wrote about previously.

Is Honeygain app legit?

Because people are earning real money with the app, the app is LEGIT.

However, there are some warning signs that might prevent you from joining. If you are person who is taking care his/her (online) privacy seriously then you might want to look further.

As well, if you are searching for options on how to earn bigger money and not just $20/year, you would’t be satisfied after downloading the app.

On the other side, if you don’t mind privacy issues, or you completely trust the protection Honeygain app provided, and the earnings are worth of your time, go ahead.

Because as written the app is legit, so you will really get paid, what you earned.

It is still not so much time consuming and, you don’t have to be bothered too much with it.
